Hardin is known as the "City with a Reason" and is the midway point between Seattle and Minneapolis and Billings and Sheridan. Situated on the banks of the Bighorn River and the edge of the Crow Indian Reservation, the town is surrounded by productive ranches and farms, including the largest wheat farm in the world.
